Livelihood training

GEMMO team remained part of numerous implemented projects by various organizations supported by a range of donors In the realm of Skills training for sustainable livelihood. GEMMO team remained part of the project implemented in the field of livelihood and skill training at RAHA areas.

The initiative intended to provide certified market oriented skills training courses to 220 youth with a ratio of 55:45 male to female, from the hosting community in different localities of district Haripur. Each course batch comprised of 20 participants maximum (male/female separately). Courses were delivered from one to three week’s time depending upon the trade. GEMMO team also provided quality tool kits to the trainees as per the acquired trades at the end of the training. The intervention equipped the trainees with skills that will enable them to pursue employment opportunities or adopt self-employment.

In another project, GEMMO team remained part of the initiative in the field of education and livelihood. The Project imparted Vocational Skills training and linkages with market for 500 Afghan and Pakistani Youth.  The initiative intended to provide certified market oriented skills training courses to 500 refugees and local youth, 60% Afghans and 40% Pakistani with 70:30 of male and female like providing training on la fire extinguisher repair, home cleaning services, ac repair services etc.They were all given a job with good salary and were provided with a certification so that they can showcase their skills. The intervention equipped trainees with skills that enabled them to pursue employment opportunities or adopt self-employment.
